Springs Muslim School visits local orphanage
The Springs Muslim School teachers and Student Leadership Council visited the Chance Children’s Home to deepen their understanding of the challenges faced by less fortunate children.

The Springs Muslim School teachers and the Student Leadership Council (SCL) visited the Chance Children’s Home in Dunnottar on September 18. This meaningful visit allowed the learners to gain valuable insights into the lives of those less fortunate.
In preparation for the visit, the school organised a fundraiser to collect toys, clothing, food and essential supplies.
SCL member Tasneem Laher said the visit highlighted the children’s challenges and emphasised the importance of community support.
“We left with a renewed commitment to advocate for those in need and strengthen ongoing connections between the Springs Muslim School and other orphanages,” said Laher.
“This experience reminded us that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference.”
Laher said they look forward to creating more opportunities for their peers to engage with the orphanage.
